In his first appearance at the end of season 7, he and Jake get into trouble after sneaking off to the beach with “a few” beers. Jake and Eldridge are often portrayed reinforcing one another’s stupidity, and by season 9, have become chronic stoners. While Jake and Eldridge are friends, the relationship between their parents briefly causes some friction, but their friendship survives and they decide to join the Army following their high school graduation. In the series finale “Of Course He’s Dead”, it is revealed that Rose lied about Charlie’s death.

Ki-tae’s mom sits up alone late at night and is joined by Grandma, who also can’t sleep. Grandma says she has something to confess and asks if Mom remembers when she left home with Ki-tae. She tells Mom that Ki-tae thinks of those as his happiest days, but Mom remembers them as lazy days.

She has an energetic daughter in kindergarten and is divorced. She is a lawyer and has a slight disdain towards Alan and the French. In the season ten episode “Ferrets, Attack!”, Zoey attempts to reconcile with Walden but she finds out Rose moved her things into Walden’s house without permission. Walden leaves Rose for Zoey, but Zoey no longer wants him as she is mad that he and Rose became serious. She has not been seen since and only briefly mentioned twice.

It is unknown if she and Herb have officially divorced or are just separated. In the final episode, Alan calls her thinking that Charlie is going to kill him. Having just received a generous payment from their newly wealthy son Jake, she tells Alan she has another call and hangs up on him. Judith makes very few appearances in seasons 7 and 9, but is featured in almost every episode in season 8. Unlike her relationship with Charlie, Judith gets along with Walden just fine—mostly due to her initial interest in him.

Jang-mi pouts that Ki-tae’s proposal isn’t very romantic. Jang-mi finally cracks a smile and counters that you can’t trust men, but nevertheless, she wants to trust Ki-tae. Ki-tae and Jang-mi talk to her mother’s doctor, who’s optimistic about her surgery prognosis. The only concern is that she will lose that breast, but Ki-tae tells Jang-mi not to worry, since he knows a great doctor. Se-ah enters right on cue, and offers to do the reconstruction surgery at the same time as the removal, so Jang-mi’s mother doesn’t have to live through the shock of having only one breast. Meanwhile Ki-tae drinks with Dad, who’s calmed down enough to say that he understands that Ki-tae was just being cautious with Jang-mi.

They know firsthand just how badly marriages can go but even so, they’re still willing to give it a try and try their best to love and support each other despite whatever twists life may throw at them. I also loved the cleverness in the writing, the crazy sound effects, the awesome ost and the cute effects on screen. This really was an interesting, unique, heartwarming, FUNNY show and I’m going to miss it so much.

The Love in Your Eyes ( Episode 114

Loved how Ki-tae’s mom stands up for Jang-Mi at the wedding by telling the in-laws that dad’s stupid gf can now do those duties she used to do, and definitely not Jang-mi! Yeon Woo Jin is so damn charming in the show, so much so that I wanna get a Ki-tae myself. Her movements are always so dramatic yet still somewhat natural at the same time. Looking forward to see her future projects for sure. Teddy Leopold/Nathan Krunk (Robert Wagner, seasons 4–5), Evelyn’s fiancé, thought to be the father of Courtney.

He meets Evelyn’s newly found granddaughter but does not like her living with them when Walden throws her out of his house as she is receiving all of Evelyn’s attention, leaving no time for sex between them. He initially mistakes Evelyn inviting Jenny to stay as a sexual reason as he had never done a grandmother/grandchild combination before. He believes Walden and Alan to be gay and ask the minister to marry them at his and Evelyn’s wedding. He believes Walden to be one of Evelyn’s sons and prefers him over Alan, as most people do. He and Evelyn reportedly have an “open marriage”, in that they can sleep with other people, as Evelyn does on at least 2 occasions following the wedding.

Linda and Charlie start to get serious, but their relationship is in trouble when Charlie starts to see Rose’s face on every woman he sees. Charlie flies to London to see Rose, but when he learns that Rose is ready to start a family, Charlie flees London and continues his relationship with Linda. Charlie learns that he is good with kids when he meets Linda’s son, Brandon. Charlie makes Brandon a mix tape of kid’s songs, and when Linda’s ex-husband hears them, he offers Charlie a job as a kids’ singer. When Linda is awarded as “Judge of the Year”, she takes Charlie to a function that celebrates her.

Hopefully they will move on to bigger and better projects. Thing is I feel that cable sometimes used lesser known actors who doesn’t command the same buzz but somehow produces better results. It’s telling that a number of cable dramas are actually more entertaining than the ones on the main stations. It’s a peculiar trend but as long as us viewers remain the beneficiaries….no complains here. So far, this is one of the few dramas I’ve watched that managed to draw me in from the start to the end.

Both of them were more concerned with looking good than showing some real emotion, and neither of them were able to give any unspoken clues about their character. I got so sick of their plastic, enigmatic smiles. I understood the rest of the characters, I felt like they were real people, and then there was Ken and Barbie.

In the final episode, Walden calls Zoey and discovers she has married well and is being crowned Queen of Moldavia. Judge Linda Harris (Ming-Na Wen, season 5), Charlie’s main love interest of the fifth season. Charlie and Linda met through Alan, and his girlfriend Donna. Charlie and Linda’s first date doesn’t go as planned, but Charlie gets himself arrested in order to see Linda at court.
